 Chris Rushton, BVSc MRCVS
Partner, joined 1989

Chris qualified the same year as Ian at Liverpool in 1987. He became a partner in 1993 and takes a keen interest in both large and small animal work. He has a special interest in orthopaedics.
Out of work he does a lot of hill walking with his two dogs, photography & listening to live music.

 Ian Elkington BVSc MRCVS

Ian, who qualified from Liverpool in 1987 is a native of Ashbourne and joined us from a practice in Yorkshire.
His interests lie in the management and routine testing of cattle for DEFRA in the fight against bovine tuberculosis.
In his spare time Ian is a member of an unbeatable pub quiz team and also an avid Rams supporter.

Stephen Clancy MVB MRCVS
Partner, joined 2005

Stephen qualified from Dublin in 1998 and has worked in both small and large animal practices in the UK, Ireland and New Zealand before joining the Moorland Veterinary Centre. He is mainly involved with the farm work including dairy cow nutrition and fertility.
Out of work he enjoys walking his dogs in the Peak district and spending time with his children.

 Rebekka Clancy MVB MRCVS

Rebekka qualified from Dublin in 2000 and has worked in small and large animal practice in the UK and abroad. Her main interests are small animal medicine and surgery, ultrasound scanning as well as building and maintaining this web site and the facebook page.
She has two Newfoundland dogs and likes walking them and has water trained one to pull in boats and rescue people.

 

 Helen Thompson BVSc, MRCVS

Assisant, joined 2010

Helen qualified from Liverpool in 2006 and has worked in mixed practices in the UK and abroad. She enjoys a good mix of all species on a daily basis, small animals, cattle as well as horses.
After work, Helen likes rock climbing, especially in the Peak district area and mountain biking. She has two dogs and a cat. Helen is currently on maternity leave after the birth of her second daughter, Agnes.

 

 Joe Falder BVSc MRCVS
Assistant, joined in 2011

Joe qualified from London in 2008. He started working in a large dairy practice before joining the Moorland Veterinary Centre.
He has a keen interest in all species but his special interests lie in large animal medicine and surgery.
Joe has got two dogs, Brian and Lily. He also is interested in rugby and used to play as prop.

 

Rhodri Hughes, BVSc, MRCVS

Rhodri first joined us in September 2005 until 2010. He has just returned after a spell in a mixed practice in mid Staffordshire.  Rhodri works with all species, but his special interest is large animal practice.

Rhodri likes rugby and has a dog called Belle and enjoys hiking wih her.

 

Tracy Latham, BVSc, MRCVS

Tracy qualified in 2005 from Liverpool Uni and has been working in mixed practice in Shropshire and Staffordshire since.  She will continue seeing a mix of species here, she especially enjoys all dairy and sheep work!

She has got one cat, called Thomas. Tracy enjoys road running and cycling and walking .

Kate Davies, BVSc, MRCVS

Kate was in the same year at University as Tracy. She has worked in mixed practice and has joined us part time. She will mainly help out with the TB testing, but you may also see her doing some clinical work.

Kate has two young boys, who keep her busy. If she has any spare time, she enjoys fell running, biking and kayaking.

 

Catherine (Cathy) Cotterill, BVSc, MRCVS

Cathy has worked in 2 mixed practices, one in Yorkshire, one in Preston before starting with us at the Moorlands. She qualified from Liverpool University in 2010. Cathy enjoys horse riding and also salsa dancing.

She has got one Jack Russell Terrier called Charlie.

 

Kate Green, BVSc,MRCVS

Kate qualified from Liverpool University in 2013 and worked in mixed practice in Wales for 3 years. She then travelled to Australia and worked in a small animal practice there for a year. Kate likes a good mix of species and enjoys all aspects of mixed practice!
