FREE nurse clinics:

As of the week commencing 15/07/13 Julie and  Louise will be running nurse clinics. These will be held on  Wednesdays at 11- 11.30am and 4-4.30pm and Fridays at 11-11.30am only. If these clinics take off and are popular, then the appointment slots will be extended.

The clinics we will be running will be :

Puppy clinics- Any new puppies can be booked into this clinic! This is a check up by the nurse who will also discuss diet, insurance and neutering. This is ideally done before being seen by the vet for vaccinations.  The nurses would like to see your puppy back monthly so they can do a weight check for wormers and flea treatment and answer any queries you may have. They will plot weight and growth on a growth chart.

Kitten clinics- same as puppy clinics, so anybody booking in for first vacc can come in and see nurse first who can discuss worming etc and then we see them monthly to weigh the kitten for flea and worm treatment. We will plot weight and growth on a growth chart.

Dental clinics- For any client worried about their pet's teeth, we will examine their teeth.  Where necessary, we will book in for dental treatments and/or discuss diet, prevention of plaque build up and demonstrate tooth brushing. We also do post dental treatment checks  5-7 days after.

Adolescent checks- this is for 6 month old dogs or cats. We will do a weight check and we will discuss diet, neutering as well as worming.

Weight clinics- weight watchers for your pet! We will discuss diet as well as determining the target weight. Revisits will be every 2 weeks initially, then monthly in the long term.

Rabbit checks- these can be made for any rabbit owners wishing to have a check over of their rabbit. This will include a tooth check, ear check, bottom check. We will advise on diet, rear-guard and how to carry out regular checks on your rabbit.

Senior pet checks for any cat or dog over 8 years old. This will include a weight check, dental check and mobility check.

All of the above NURSE clinics are free of charge.  However if any VETERINARY attention or any treatments are needed, these will be charged as normal.

Please remember that this is with the nurse, to see a vet you will need to book a separate appointment.
